Shopping in Taiwan!! TROUBLE!! HELP!!? The other day I ordered a power adapter for my Mac computer at a NOVA apple store in Taipei. Actually i needed the adapter as soon as possible, so I went to another apple store in Taipei, around the 101 area, and I found it. The adapter at the second store cost me 2900 NTD. Later, I got the notice from the Nova store, asking me to pick up the product. So I went. There, the adapter cost me 3600 NTD (the shop said that the original price is 3900, so it is already cheap!) I thought I was mistaken about the price, so I paid him 3600 NTD anyway. (I don't really remember what price the shop told me, when I ordered.) I asked for the receipt, so I have enough evidence that I paid extra. Do you think I was ripped!? It's always like that in Taiwan, but at an apple store? Such a big price gap is not possible, and I think all apple stores give their customers the same price for the same product!? Do you think I can get back the money? Is Taipei, Taiwan worth a visit to have fun and really EXPERIENCE not just see places,buy and eat? Well,I met a Taiwanese recently who suggested Taiwan as a place to visit for vacation.He said it's good to shop, dine and have fun with the family.However, when I tried to gather information about famous tourist spots there, almost all were just things for "sight-seeing" and "shopping at night markets/ Taipei 101 etc.". I will bring my family when I go there that's why I know that my kids would be bored visiting typical public parks. I assume they also won't enjoy visiting historical places and musuems. Are there places or theme parks that are made to attract tourists or none? Zoos/Parks that are A MUST-SEE or none? Theme parks that have shows, cable cars, animal shows, rides?
