How difficult is it for a Filipina to get a tourist Visa to Taiwan? She is traveling with me, on a Fiancee Visa, through Taipei, to Taiwan, to the USA, but we will have an overnight stay. It is my understanding that we will need to get her a Tourist Visa since the airline connection is not until the next day. She does not have significant financial assets in the Philippines, or will she be employed at the time, since she is moving to the USA. I have already talked to United Airlines, and the Taiwan Embassy in Manila. They both tell me for an overnight stay, she should have a tourist visa. The lady at the Embassy told me a list of things they would want, and the one that causes me the biggest concern, is the request for proof of financial holdings in the Philippines. I'm guessing since she is transiting through, this will not be an issue.
