What to see/do and where to shop near Taiwan International Airport?

My mom will be transiting for 6 hours in Taipei, Taiwan and she wants to go out and shop near the airport. Where should she go? Anything worth seeing in short period? What's the best way to get there and back? Thanks!

1. 6 Hrs is too short as The Airport is in Taoyuan not Taipei.The Airport is nothing fancy-They are working on it now!!
2. Well, I work at the airport and the office is also only 2 mins away. There's nothing around really. 6 hours, if I were her, I would go to Taoyuan city because there are some department stores in the area. Only if she's around during the day. Well, I'm a part-time driver so I can arrange some places for her to visit. Basically, I've come up with some ideas but it's her call. So far she'll stop in Taiwan for 6 hours, she would have to get back to the airport an hour earlier before her flight takes off. If her flight takes off at 6pm, she needs to be at the airport at 5pm. If she's here during the day (say 12 to 6), I'd take her to Da-Shi Old Street (40 mins away from the airport). It's a famous spot in Taoyuan county. There's a lot to see and shop there. She can burn at least 2 to 3 hours just to get around in the area. That would be my best suggestion. It would take her at least 10 to 20 mins to enter the country. The schedule would be 12:30pm: she gets out from the airport, meets me at the entrance. 1:00 ~ 1:20pm: we get to Da-Shi I'll take her back to the airport and actually arrive by 5pm. If she's here during the night, I'd take her to Jung-Li night market. Or Metro Walk if she fancies huge shopping mall. 3. Head to Taoyuan City or Jhongli (Chungli) for shopping as there is nothing much near the airport of Nankan and Shuiwei area of Taoyuan County, south of Taipei County. She can either take a taxi or a coach for NT$45 and 40 min of her time to Taoyuan city and another NT$45 and 40 min back to Airport on the coach. She can also head to Jhongli for NT$52 and 40 min of her time for both way also, like the above. Taxi will be more expensive but the time taken is approx the same.
4. Absolutely nothing and nowhere. Nothing close by, nothing in the airport. Taipei Taoyuan is one of the worst international airports in the world (LAX excepted). Take a nap would be my advice, except you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere to sit. 6 hours in Taoyuan airport is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy!
5. if you have 6 hours only then its not enough better shop inside the airport .. dont go out in the airport .. is much better
