Are western travel books on the following countires banned in China?

Taiwan:- Simply because they don't say its province of the P.R. China or Mongolia due to them breaking away and becoming independent. The reason why I asked is because I went to the big English book store in Wangfujing street, Beijing. They had every book it seems in the rough/lonely planet guide apart from these two, or in any kind of guide. At the same time some one else made the a comment about having no Taiwan guides. Are they banned or I'm I just being silly.

1. i dont know, but i think Taiwan is a part of China tho. just my opinion.
2. I believe China would definitely ban books that state that Taiwan is not part of China. It is not "Simply because", but it is true that Taiwan is part of China even "Simply" look at their registered name of taiwan (RO China). It's a sensitive issue Buddy! Western report will not bother to include all the Eastern mentality in their books, like what you've said forget about the past 100 years....? Might as well you ask them to forget all thier 5000 years of cultures... Cheers!
